I am an art therapist and workshop facilitator working with individuals, groups and schools. I combine my therapeutic, academic and activist experience to explore art and creativity for personal and social transformation. Art has always been woven into my life: drawing, painting, sewing and playing the cello are central to keeping connected to myself and making me feel whole.
Art therapy engages the body, mind and heart. It is a sensorial practice which connects us with our vitality and creativity, offering us a language to explore and express our emotions and a space to tell the stories that cannot be easily expressed in words. Art therapy can help us connect with our longings so we can live the authentic and unique expression of who we are.
We can work together on challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, boundaries, interpersonal conflict and connection, grief, self-esteem and shame, sexuality and gender identity, and life transitions. In my work with clients, I bring compassion, respect and playfulness that honours the richness, resilience, vulnerability and vitality of each one of us.
My theoretical background as an art therapist draws on neuroscience-sensorimotor, humanistic and systems approaches. I am GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse) affirming. I work under supervision and abide by the codes of ethics of the Association of Dramatherapists of the Czech Republic and Czech Association of Art Therapists.
Qualifications:
I hold qualifications in art therapy and combined drama and art therapy guaranteed by the Institute for Developmental Transformations, USA, Czech Association of Art Therapists and Association of Dramatherapists of the Czech Republic. I am certified in Healing Trauma through Guided Drawing, taught by the Institute for Sensorimotor Art Therapy, Australia.
